Step back to the golden era of rock with the Epiphone 1964 SG™ Standard with Maestro® Vibrola®, a meticulous recreation of one of the most significant SG model years in history. This legendary guitar was famously wielded by icons like George Harrison and Eric Clapton, and 1964 marked a pivotal moment when the SG truly found its identity. The troublesome Sideways Vibrato was finally replaced with the reliable Maestro Vibrola, while the neck profile was refined from the ultra–thin designs of earlier models, resulting in improved balance and playability that defined the SG’s character.

Developed in collaboration with Gibson® Custom, this authentic recreation features all the classic appointments that made the 1964 model so revered. The one–piece mahogany neck boasts a long neck tenon for enhanced stability and sustain, paired with a comfortable SlimTaper™ profile and bound rosewood fretboard. Mother–of–pearl trapezoid inlays, an aged Epiphone headstock logo, and the distinctive Gibson crown inlay on the open book headstock complete the vintage aesthetic.

The centre–seamed, two–piece mahogany body showcases the comfortable bevels that make the SG so distinctive and ergonomic. Electronics are equally impressive, featuring two USA Gibson Custombucker humbucking pickups with Alnico 3 magnets, hand–wired to CTS® potentiometers, Black Beauty paper–in–oil capacitors, and premium Switchcraft® components. The Vintage Gloss finish pairs beautifully with nickel hardware and Epiphone Vintage Deluxe “Double Ring” tuners, while a black hardshell case with Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics and goldenrod interior completes this exceptional package.
