Epiphone, working closely with Gibson Custom, has crafted the 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue as a stunningly authentic Inspired by Gibson Custom recreation of those early humbucker-equipped models. The guitar features a genuine mahogany body topped with a carved plain maple cap, finished in a new Vintage Gloss interpretation of the classic Gold colour that captures vintage appeal without excessive ageing. Its one-piece genuine mahogany neck sports a 50s Rounded Medium C profile with long neck tenon construction for superior stability and sustain.

Attention to historical accuracy extends throughout every detail, from the bound rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets to the aged mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo and gold-silkscreened “Les Paul Model” text on the Gibson-style “open book” headstock. Even the side dot position markers match the size and placement of vintage 1957 Les Paul Standard models.
