Epiphone's Futura RD Custom reinterprets Gibson's 1977 design cult classic for contemporary players. The guitar blends Explorer and Firebird aesthetics into an unmistakable silhouette, built from mahogany with seven-ply top binding and contoured back. Midnight Ember Shift colour-shifting finish sets it apart visually, whilst internally, new ProBucker® Ignite humbuckers deliver articulate, high-clarity tone suited to studio work, live performance, and content creation.

Construction centres on a 647.70 mm scale mahogany neck sporting a Modern C profile, bound ebony fingerboard, and 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets with Super 400–style split block pearloid inlays. The 10”–14” compound radius streamlines chording and bends; extended scale favours drop tunings. Electronics comprise dual volume and tone controls with push/pull coil–splitting and phase switching for tonal flexibility. LockTone® Tune–O–Matic® bridge, LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, Graph Tech® nut, and locking Grover® Rotomatic tuners ensure stable intonation and sustain. Gig bag included.
