The Futura ES-355 is Epiphone's contemporary take on the Gibson ES-355®, a semi-hollow design that's defined electric guitar tone since 1958. Built for today's players–bedroom producers, session musicians, and touring performers alike–it pairs classic semi-hollow construction with forward-thinking electronics and hardware. The standout feature is the solid maple centreblock with weight-relief window, which preserves sustain and minimises feedback while keeping the instrument manageable. Three colour-shifting finishes, including this Midnight Ember Shift, add visual impact without sacrificing substance.

Construction centres on a mahogany neck with Modern C profile and bound ebony fingerboard carrying 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets across a 628.65 mm scale. The compound radius fingerboard (10”–14”) balances open chording comfort with lead-bend precision. Hardware is robust: LockTone® Tune-O-Matic® bridge, LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, and locking Grover® Rotomatic tuners ensure intonation stability under gigging demands. Signal path runs through a pair of Epiphone ProBucker® Ignite humbuckers, with push/pull controls unlocking coil-split and phase-switching options for tonal range beyond traditional humbucker voicing.

The gig bag inclusion makes this a complete package for players who need to move between rehearsal spaces, studios, or venues. Coil splitting expands the tonal palette significantly–single-coil clarity sits alongside full humbucker punch, useful for recording applications where mic'd tone varies across takes.
