The S Pickup brings you the crisp, bright character of classic single-coil tone without the annoying hum that typically comes with it. This ceramic version of EMG's original SA pickup features a ceramic bar magnet that provides balanced guitar tone across all playing styles, maintaining clarity even during aggressive string bends.
What sets the S apart from traditional single-coil pickups is EMG's innovative internal shielding combined with a low impedance preamp system. This technology virtually eliminates noise while preserving that authentic single-coil sound you're after. The pickup offers substantial output for top-end sizzle whilst keeping solid low frequencies with excellent articulation and presence.
The versatility of the S makes it suitable for jazz, country, metal, and blues applications. Installation is straightforward thanks to EMG's solderless wiring system, allowing you to fit these pickups at home without the need for professional soldering work.
