The EMG S2 pickup captures that iconic Strat™ single coil character whilst virtually eliminating the noise issues that plague traditional designs. Through its innovative stacked construction, this pickup produces the authentic bright, peaky highs and balanced midrange you’d expect from a classic single coil, complemented by a clear and full low-end response.

What sets the S2 apart is its remarkably quiet operation despite maintaining that traditional single coil voicing. The stacked design effectively reduces hum and interference, giving you clean tone even in high-gain situations where conventional single coils would typically struggle with noise.

All EMG passive pickups come complete with their solderless wiring system, making installation straightforward and opening up numerous wiring possibilities. The pickups feature full shielding for additional hum reduction, though string grounding is still recommended for optimal noise performance.
