The Electro‐Voice ZLX G2 12 Inch Passive Portable Loudspeaker represents the evolution of a legendary series that has sold over one million units worldwide since its 2013 debut. Building upon the phenomenal success of the original ZLX lineup, this second‐generation model introduces enhanced maximum SPL, extended frequency range, and improved durability whilst maintaining the accessible price point that made its predecessor an industry benchmark. The ZLX G2 series now includes 8", 12", and 15" two‐way models available in both powered and passive configurations.

Superior engineering defines the ZLX G2's acoustic performance, with each model featuring premium components coupled to a patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) ported waveguide. This technology enhances low‐frequency extension and provides consistent vertical and horizontal coverage across all frequencies within a compact form factor. Passive models utilise industry‐standard NL4 connections with parallel connectors that pass through all pins, and optimal performance is achieved when paired with Dynacord DSP power amplifiers programmed with appropriate speaker settings from the EV Speaker Database.

The redesigned polypropylene enclosure showcases both form and function with its strengthening "spine" and embossed Electro‐Voice logo. Symmetrical 55‐degree sides enable steeper projection angles in monitor position, whilst the built‐in kick‐back angle allows 12" and 15" versions to project upwards at 23 degrees when positioned vertically. Multiple mounting accessories accommodate permanent installations, including U‐style wall brackets for horizontal or vertical mounting and various pole‐mount brackets with tilt adjustment capabilities.
