Electro-Voice EVOLVE 50M G2 Portable Column System w/ Integrated Mixer (White)

Electro-Voice has scaled its EVOLVE column system up to handle larger crowds and fuller dance floors, packing 1,500 watts and a 12-inch subwoofer into a single portable package with an 8-channel digital mixer built in. The EVOLVE 50M G2 Portable Column System stacks eight 3.5-inch neodymium drivers above a 12-inch woofer for 129 dB maximum SPL and a frequency range down to 37 Hz. The column array locks magnetically to the pole via gravity-held connections, no tools, no threading, no fumbling in the dark between sets. QuickSmart App control runs wirelessly over Bluetooth with extended range, giving access to DSP presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club), 3-band EQ, five user presets, and 38 different audio effects across two FX buses.

The 120° horizontal by 40° down-tilted vertical coverage pattern spreads sound evenly across seated and standing audiences without the narrow throw of traditional point-source systems. QuickSmart Link connects two EVOLVE 50M G2 units wirelessly for stereo operation and expanded mixer inputs, sharing audio and control between both systems. The 8-channel mixer includes switchable 48-volt phantom power for condenser microphones, AFS (anti-feedback suppression), and music ducking for speech-over-music applications. A 2.8-inch colour LCD screen on the subwoofer handles all DSP adjustments and mixer control at the hardware level. The subwoofer uses a laminar flow vent design to enhance low-frequency output and efficiency without adding cabinet size, while redesigned handles on the top panel simplify load-in and load-out.

The column array and distance pole ship pre-packed in a padded carry bag, and the entire system breaks down into components that one person can move without a trolley. Frequency response spans 43 Hz to 20 kHz, with usable output extending to 37 Hz at the -10 dB point. The Class-D amplifier delivers 1,500 watts of system power, driving the neodymium column drivers and 12-inch woofer to SPL levels that cover wedding receptions, corporate events, and café performances without external processing or additional subs. The white finish matches the EVOLVE 50M G2 White variant, also available in black.
