Electro Harmonix Superego+ Synth Engine / Multi Effect Pedal

The Superego+ pushes the boundaries of synthesis and effects processing, building upon the acclaimed foundation of its predecessor to create an even more powerful platform for sonic exploration. This advanced pedal combines the award-winning synthesis capabilities of the original Superego with a comprehensive effects section featuring 11 distinct effect types, making it a complete sound-shaping powerhouse for the modern musician.

The effects arsenal includes everything from warm analogue-style delay and pristine digital echo to Electric Mistress-style flanging and Small Stone-inspired phasing. Additional sonic tools encompass pitch detuning, vibrato/chorus modulation, rotary speaker simulation, dual tremolo modes (sine and square wave), pitch shifting across a ± one octave range, and a resonant low-pass filter. Each effect can be controlled via the EXP input, allowing real-time parameter manipulation or preset recall through an expression pedal.

Sound sculpting is handled through dedicated Dry, Effect, Attack, Decay, Threshold, Layer and Gliss controls, whilst the effects section features its own Rate and Depth knobs. The pedal offers four foot-switchable Freeze modes – Moment, Sustain, Auto and Latch – plus a Live Effects mode that routes your dry signal through the built-in effects whilst bypassing the internal synth engine.

Designed for versatility, the polyphonic Superego+ works seamlessly with guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals, drums and other instruments. The unit includes an EXT jack for 3-button controller connectivity and comes complete with an EHX 9.6DC-200 AC adaptor for immediate use.
