Electro Harmonix Polyphonic STRING9 String Ensemble Guitar Effects Pedal

The STRING9 String Ensemble pedal brings nine distinct string ensembles and synthesizers to your guitar without requiring any modifications, special pickups, or MIDI setup. Built on the proven technology that powers the entire EHX 9 Series range, this innovative pedal opens up a world of orchestral possibilities for guitarists seeking rich, layered string sounds.

A standout feature of the STRING9 is its inclusion of the signature EHX Freeze effect on three presets — a first for the 9 Series lineup. This allows players to sample and hold notes and chords with infinite sustain, creating atmospheric textures and building complex soundscapes that would typically require multiple instruments or extensive studio work.

The pedal’s practical design includes independent Effect and Dry volume controls, enabling precise mix adjustment at the Effects output jack. Additionally, a dedicated Dry output jack maintains the input signal at unity gain, while Controls 1 and 2 offer parameter adjustment specific to each of the nine programs, adding both usability and flexibility to every string sound in the pedal’s arsenal.
