Born from the successful EHX x JHS collaboration of 2023, this gnarly and responsive octave fuzz takes the core DNA of the Lizard Queen and refines it with updated tone controls and a crucial new Blend knob that preserves your bass's fundamental tone and low-end presence.

What sets the Lizard King apart is its fixed-gain design that responds dynamically to your playing technique and instrument volume. Roll back your bass's volume for clear, fuzzy overdrive tones, or crank it up to send the gain into overdrive territory perfect for ripping riffs and searing solos. The familiar Volume and Octave controls handle overall output and octave blend respectively, while the new Blend knob creates the perfect balance between clean and fuzz signals, maintaining your bass's natural attack and low-end punch.

The Tone knob functions as a low pass filter to roll off harsh highs, complemented by the Sun/Shadow switch that further shapes both octave fuzz and clean tones. In Sun mode, you'll get a more driving midrange boost to the octave fuzz, plus enhanced treble and bass frequencies in the clean signal accessed via the Blend control. Shadow mode leaves the clean tone unchanged while tightening up the fuzz response, giving you two distinct sonic personalities to suit any mix or playing situation.
