EarthQuaker Devices Plumes Overdrive Guitar Effect Pedal

The Plumes overdrive pedal takes the beaten-to-death tube screamer circuit and breathes genuine life back into it with some seriously clever engineering. EarthQuaker Devices has ditched the standard 4558 IC and BJT transistor buffers, replacing them with JFET operational amplifiers that push the input impedance up to nearly 10 megaohms. This results in lower noise, better signal integrity, and more chime in the high frequencies that'll make your leads cut through even the most aggressive drumming.

The real magic happens with the internal power conversion system that takes your standard 9V input and converts it to +/- 9V, giving the OpAmp significantly more headroom to work with. Combined with three different clipping voices and a reimagined tone control that sculpts low end, clears up the top end, and focuses the midrange with blooming sustain, you get an almost three-dimensional clarity that pushes tube amps right over the edge.

Built with Flexi-Switch™ Technology for both momentary and latching operation, the Plumes offers loads of headroom and that classic tube-like overdrive character with a distinctly modern twist. As EarthQuaker Devices puts it, this thing sounds like diamonds - a million f**king diamonds!
