The Hummingbird™ Repeat Percussion tremolo brings vintage choppy, sawtooth modulation straight from classic Valco and Vox amplifiers to your pedalboard. This analog tremolo pedal captures the essence of those legendary “repeat percussion” units, offering everything from shimmering 1950s-style tremolo through to synthy, delay-like chopping effects that slice your signal into short bursts of sound.
Three distinct modes provide the foundation for your sound: mode 1 for slow modulation, mode 2 for mid-tempo effects, and mode 3 for fast tremolo that can reach near ring modulation speeds. The Rate and Depth controls give you complete command over the amplitude modulation, while expression pedal compatibility on the Rate control allows for real-time adjustments and even random modulation effects during performance.
Beyond its tremolo capabilities, the Hummingbird functions as a versatile JFET clean boost when the Depth control is set to zero. The Level control provides ample clean gain, letting you boost or cut your signal as needed. Handcrafted one at a time in Akron, Ohio, this true bypass pedal combines all-analog circuitry with practical functionality for the modern guitarist.
