EarthQuaker Devices Astral Destiny Octave Reverb Effect Pedal

The Astral Destiny redefines what a reverb pedal can achieve, packing eight distinct reverb modes with full preset capability into a compact format that's built for serious musicians. This modulated octave reverb pedal features eight editable presets, assignable expression control, and a unique stretch feature that doubles reverb length while adding adjustable pitch bending effects. Operating in either Tails or Full Bypass states, the pedal maintains natural reverb decay in Tails Mode (indicated by a Green LED) or cuts the effect completely in Full Bypass (Red LED). As a buffered bypass pedal, it requires power to pass signal and maintains an active buffer at all times.

The pedal operates in two primary modes: Live and Preset. Live Mode serves as the standard operation where all controls function as visually set, indicated by Green or Red LEDs depending on bypass state. Preset Mode, shown by a Yellow LED, recalls stored settings for Length, Depth, Rate, Tone, Mix, EXP assignment and Stretch length across any of the eight reverb modes. When adjustments are made in Preset Mode, the LED flashes, and changes can be saved by holding both footswitches until both LEDs flash four times.

The eight reverb modes cover extensive sonic territory: Abyss provides massive reverb without octave effects, while Shimmer and Sub add upper and lower octaves respectively to the reverb tail. Sub Shimmer combines both octaves, Astral adds upper and lower octaves with regenerating tails, and Ascend and Descend create upward and downward pitch bending effects. Cosmos rounds out the selection by adding a regenerating fifth to the reverb tail, giving players a comprehensive palette of atmospheric sounds.
