The 10–ply Maple shell uses a 45–degree back–cut bearing edge to maximise head contact and sustain. Quarter lugs maintain consistent tension across the batter and resonant heads, while TruePitch tuning tension rods allow precise pitch control with half–turn increments. The MAG throw–off provides magnetic engagement for quick snare wire activation and deactivation, eliminating the slop found in lesser mechanisms. At 14" diameter and 6.5" depth, this configuration balances crack and body across multiple tuning ranges.
