Built around 100% North American eight-ply maple shells, this four-piece configuration (18×22" kick, 8×10" and 9×12" mounted toms, 14×16" floor tom) delivers the warm, focused punch maple is prized for whilst maintaining tuning stability across a broad range. The HVLT grain orientation technology ensures consistent resonance and sustain without the brittleness that plagues cheaper constructions.

Hardware and mounting solutions reflect DW's engineering attention to detail. Low-mass mini-turret lugs reduce mass at the shell whilst maintaining structural integrity; triple-flange hoops provide consistent bearing-edge contact and improved head response. STM (Suspension Tom Mounts) isolate the tom shells from the bass drum, minimising sympathetic vibration and tightening attack definition. True-Pitch tuning further extends tuning resolution, crucial when chasing accurate pitch across live and recorded contexts. The pack ships with a two-piece bass drum pillow set (DSCPBDP2W) for resonance shaping. Snare sold separately.
