DW's Design Series brings custom drum quality to working musicians without the custom price tag. This 14" x 6.5" snare pairs a thin 1mm rolled aluminium shell with matte powder coat finish, delivering the warmer, more resonant tone that session and touring drummers rely on. The rolled construction produces a rounder attack and drier resonance compared to thicker alternatives, making it equally at home in the studio, on stage, or in the practice room.

The drum sits on rolled bearing edges and snare beds machined for consistent tuning response across the full pitch range. Hardware includes DW's MAG throw–off mechanism for friction–free tension adjustment, Design Series snare lugs, and triple–flange hoops that open up the attack while delivering sharp rimshot definition. True Pitch tension rods feature extra threading to lock tuning without slippage, critical when gigging or recording back–to–back takes.
