The DW 9000X Series Combo Cymbal/Tom Stand merges two mounting functions into a single heavy-duty tripod base, designed to reduce clutter and footprint on crowded stages or compact drum kits. Built around DW's professional 9000 Series hardware platform, this dual-purpose stand uses forged bronze bushings and nylon tube insulators to eliminate metal-on-metal contact and noise transfer. The boom arm and tom arm operate independently, each with memory locks to preserve positioning across teardown and setup.
The cymbal boom extends to accommodate ride or crash placement, while the tom arm accepts DW's ball-and-socket V-mount system for precise angle adjustment. Both arms use toothless tilters with large tension knobs, offering stepless positioning and secure grip without gears that can strip or slip under load. The tripod legs are double-braced with hinged height-adjustment collars and heavy-gauge steel tubing throughout. Cymbal and tom mounts lock via oversized wingbolts, and the entire assembly collapses for transport without disassembly of the boom or tom arm components.
