DW 5000 Series DWCP5710 Straight Double-Braced Cymbal Stand

The DW 5000 Series DWCP5710 straight cymbal stand represents the brand's philosophy of building road–tested hardware that handles demanding studio and live environments without compromise. Heavy–gauge tubing and double–braced tripod legs deliver robust support for larger cymbals, while the engineering prioritises stability over unnecessary complexity. DW's reputation stems from decades of input from working drummers who demand gear that simply works.

Construction centres on the double–braced leg design, which significantly reduces resonant frequencies that bleed into recordings or create unwanted sustain during live performance. Plastic tube insulators dampen vibration transmission through the stand structure, critical in studio tracking where cymbal rattle can contaminate neighbouring microphones. The Toothless Tilter mechanism with TechLock hinged memory locks allows precise angle adjustment and height locking without slipping; once set, cymbals remain positioned exactly as intended. An adjustable cymbal seat with attached felt washers protects cymbal surfaces and minimises movement during playing.
