DR's StringLife Liquid Polymer String Cleaner applies the protective benefits of factory–coated strings to any steel–stringed instrument after the fact. Developed by PROTEK, a polymer specialist in the piano industry, this treatment system molecularly bonds to string surfaces, creating a microscopic barrier between metal and corrosive sweat. Unlike silicone or oil–based products, it leaves no greasy residue on strings or fretboards while extending string life across guitars, banjos, mandolins, fiddles, dobros, and lap steels.

The formula cleans, lubricates, and protects wound and plain strings alike, offering hundreds of applications per bottle through an applicator of choice. It rejuvenates tone on older strings and restores playability, while also functioning as a corrosion barrier on new sets to delay tonal decay.
