The DJI RS 5 is a compact, professional camera gimbal designed for filmmakers and content creators working with modern mirrorless and DSLR camera systems. Built around DJI’s 5th-generation stabilisation algorithm, the RS 5 delivers precise, controlled movement for handheld shooting across commercial, documentary, and content production environments.

Weighing just 1.46 kg, the RS 5 supports camera payloads up to 3 kg while remaining balanced and manageable for extended sessions. Fine-tuning knobs on each axis and Teflon™-enhanced balancing surfaces allow for accurate setup, even with heavier lenses or accessories. A new Z-axis indicator provides visual feedback to help refine operator movement and improve shot consistency.

The RS 5 introduces 2nd-generation automated axis locks, which secure the gimbal automatically when powered off or in sleep mode, simplifying transport and setup. The optional RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module enables subject tracking directly from the gimbal’s touchscreen, supporting people, vehicles, and pets when paired with compatible cameras.

Power is supplied via the detachable BG33 battery grip, delivering up to 14 hours of standby time, with a full recharge achievable in approximately one hour using a compatible PD charger. The updated electronic briefcase handle option adds joystick-based gimbal and camera control for low-angle and moving shots.
