Dimazio UtoPIA Steve Vai Signature Middle Pickup (Cream)

The UtoPIA™ Middle pickup from DiMarzio brings Steve Vai's signature single-coil sound to Stratocaster–style guitars, engineered to sit alongside the UtoPIA™ humbucker set. Satin gold–plated and etched with the same laser-cut pattern as its neck and bridge counterparts, this middle position pickup replaces lifeless stock coils with articulate chime and pronounced treble response. Available exclusively in F-spacing, it's designed for guitars with wider string spacing at the bridge.

The UtoPIA™ Middle generates the quintessential quack tone when engaged in positions two and four on a five-way selector, delivering harmonic clarity between the UtoPIA™ humbuckers. Its treble-forward voicing cuts through dense mixes without shrillness, maintaining tonal balance across the frequency spectrum. The satin gold plating and matching etched aesthetic ensure visual cohesion with the full UtoPIA™ system, while the standard Strat footprint allows drop-in installation without routing modifications.
