The DiMarzio Satchur8™ is a high–output humbucker developed in collaboration with guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani to deliver an expressive attack with warm, singing lead tones that respond dynamically to playing technique. At its core sits an Alnico 8 magnet, chosen specifically for its rich output, buttery smooth midrange, and full–bodied bass response. F–spaced configuration accommodates tremolo–equipped guitars with wider string spacing at the bridge position.

The Alnico 8 magnet provides substantial output whilst maintaining tonal balance across the frequency spectrum, delivering deep bass, present mids, and articulate highs without harshness. Coil tuning was calibrated to Satriani's playing style, emphasising harmonic richness and note definition under both heavy gain and clean settings. The pickup responds immediately to volume–knob adjustments, shifting from aggressive saturation to transparent clarity as the player dials back. This red–finished model features the signature F–spacing required for guitars with string spacing exceeding 2 inches at the bridge.
