DiMarzio DP704BK Evolution 7 Humbucker Guitar Pickup

The Evolution 7 pickup brings serious grunt and clarity to seven-string guitars, building on the legendary power and attack of the original Evolution Bridge design. This isn't just a stretched-out six-string pickup - DiMarzio has specifically engineered the Evolution 7 with Virtual Vintage technology to handle the extended range whilst maintaining the crushing lows and biting highs that made the original famous.

What sets this pickup apart is its focused output in the upper mids and treble frequencies, giving you serious cutting power that slices through any mix. The low-end response stays tight and articulate, ensuring your riffs maintain clarity even when you're digging into those lower registers. DiMarzio understood that simply scaling up a six-string design wouldn't cut it for seven-string applications.

The real engineering brilliance lies in how DiMarzio approached the coil design - they've made the Evolution 7 brighter than its six-string counterpart to prevent the low B string from becoming muddy or indistinct. This means your bass strings pack clean, powerful punch whilst the higher strings maintain their bite without sounding thin or weak, giving you the full spectrum of tonal control across all seven strings.
