D'Addario PL017 Plain Steel Guitar Single String (.017)

Since 1974, D'Addario's Phosphor Bronze strings have set the standard for acoustic guitar tone, pioneering a material that would become the benchmark for warm, bright sound. This innovative alloy brought a new dimension to string manufacturing, creating the perfect balance between clarity and warmth that guitarists had been seeking.

The construction process involves precision winding corrosion-resistant phosphor bronze around a hexagonally shaped, high carbon steel core that's been carefully drawn to exact specifications. This meticulous approach results in strings that maintain their bright, resonant tone for extended periods while providing excellent intonation across the fretboard.

D'Addario's comprehensive range of acoustic guitar singles caters to musicians who need replacement strings or want to customise their instrument's setup. These individual strings allow players to fine-tune their guitar's voice, replacing worn strings as needed or experimenting with different tensions to achieve their desired sound.
