The EXL170M stands as D'Addario's most popular bass guitar string set, specifically engineered for medium scale instruments. This particular configuration has earned its reputation through consistent performance and reliability amongst bass players across various musical genres.

XL Nickel Wound electric bass strings have established themselves as the industry benchmark for good reason. Their construction and tonal characteristics make them suitable for an extensive range of musical styles, from rock and jazz to funk and blues.

Medium scale basses require strings that are optimised for their unique specifications, and the EXL170M addresses these requirements perfectly. The set provides the balanced tension and intonation that medium scale instruments need to perform at their best.
