These light gauge flat wound strings are specifically designed for medium scale electric bass guitars, offering players the perfect balance of playability and tonal richness.

XL Chromes have earned their reputation through their remarkably smooth feel under the fingers, making them a favourite among session musicians and touring professionals. The flat wound construction provides that classic vintage tone whilst reducing finger noise and fret wear, essential qualities for studio recording and live performance.

This string set caters to the discerning bassist who values both comfort and authentic sound. The medium scale design ensures proper tension and intonation across shorter scale instruments, whilst the light gauge specification allows for effortless fretting and bending techniques that define modern bass playing styles.
