Cort Space 5 Headless Bass Star Dust Green

The Cort Space 5 is a five–string headless bass that strips away traditional hardware bulk in favour of a compact, balanced design. Cort has routed tuning hardware to the bridge, eliminating the headstock entirely and shifting the instrument's centre of mass closer to the player's body. The result is a bass that hangs differently on a strap, reducing neck dive and fatigue during extended playing sessions. Finished in Star Dust Green, the Space 5 brings a modern aesthetic to match its engineering choices.

The Space 5 features dual humbucker pickups controlled by a three–band active EQ, offering precise tonal shaping across bass, mid, and treble frequencies. The body is constructed from nyatoh, a tonewood known for balanced resonance and mid–range clarity, while the bolt–on maple neck is topped with a jatoba fingerboard. The headless bridge system incorporates individual string tuners and accepts standard ball–end strings, eliminating the need for proprietary double–ball designs. Scale length remains at a conventional 34 inches, maintaining familiar string tension and feel despite the compact profile.
