Cort Action Bass Plus 4-String Bass Guitar (Trans Red)

The Cort Action Bass Plus delivers active electronics and extended tonal range in a four-string electric bass finished in Trans Red. Powered by a Mighty Mite preamp with two-band EQ, this instrument gives players active control over their sound without the price tag of boutique alternatives. The body combines classic offset double-cutaway contours with a bolt-on maple neck, providing upper-fret access and structural stability that gigging bassists depend on.

A pair of Mighty Mite pickups–split-coil in the middle position and single-coil at the bridge–feed the active preamp, which supplies 12dB of cut or boost across bass and treble frequencies. The maple neck carries a jatoba fingerboard with 24 medium frets, extending the range to high C and opening melodic possibilities beyond the traditional 20-fret layout. Chrome hardware includes a fixed bridge with individual string saddles, while die-cast tuners maintain tuning stability across string gauges. The Trans Red finish reveals the wood grain beneath, giving each instrument a distinct appearance.
