Cort A4 Plus FMMH 4 String Electric Bass Guitar Black Cherry

The A4 Plus FMMH is Cort's exploration of extended tonal range in a four-string platform, built around a flamed maple top that sits over a mahogany body core. The FMMH designation signals this combination of flame maple and mahogany, chosen to balance warmth with articulation across the full frequency spectrum. Electronics lean toward active voicing with a two-band EQ system that provides precise control over low and high frequencies without the complexity of three-band circuits. This Black Cherry finish showcases the figured maple grain while maintaining a professional stage presence.

Bartolini MK-1 pickups handle signal generation, delivering output designed for modern playing styles that demand clarity under gain and compression. The 34-inch scale length maintains standard bass tension and intonation characteristics, while the rosewood fingerboard responds to both fingerstyle and pick attack with consistent note definition. Hardware includes a fixed bridge with individual string saddles for precise intonation adjustment and a bone nut that contributes to sustain and harmonic content. The mahogany neck profile accommodates extended playing sessions without hand fatigue, and the flamed maple top adds visual distinction alongside its acoustic contribution to midrange presence.
