Cole Clark's Australian Blackwood acoustic guitar represents a bold departure from traditional guitar construction, featuring the Spanish heel method where the neck extends as one continuous piece all the way to the soundhole. This integral neck construction, combined with carved tops and backs rather than conventional kerfing, creates a distinctly unique tonal character that sets these instruments apart from mainstream acoustics. The guitar showcases Australian Blackwood throughout the top, back, sides and headstock - a timber that shares close kinship with Hawaiian Koa and offers beautiful variation from light to dark tones with grain patterns ranging from straight to highly figured.
Built as a solid timber cutaway dreadnought, this instrument combines Queensland Maple for the neck with River She Oak for both the fretboard and bridge, creating an all-Australian timber construction that's largely sustainable. The guitar features Cole Clark's patented 3-way pickup system, allowing for versatile amplified performance, while appointments include inlaid timber binding and purfling, snowflake inlays, and quality Grover machine heads. With a 44mm nut width and Graph Tech Tusq nut and saddle, the instrument comes complete with a hard case and optional pickguard.
