Cole Clark's FL Dreadnought 2 Six String Series represents a revolutionary approach to acoustic guitar construction, featuring the brand's patented Three Way pickup system that combines a piezo pickup under the bridge saddle, face sensor, and microphone for unparalleled versatility. These FL2 guitars showcase "AA" grade solid timbers throughout, complemented by elegant snowflake mother of pearl fretboard inlays and headstock fascia, with a sustainable River She Oak fingerboard and bridge construction.
What sets Cole Clark apart from mainstream acoustic manufacturers is their exclusive use of Spanish heel or integral neck construction. Unlike conventional guitars where the body is assembled first and the neck attached via bolt or dovetail joints, Cole Clark's method involves gluing the neck directly to the face alongside the sides and back, creating a single continuous piece extending to the sound hole. This unique construction method produces a distinctive tonal character that cannot be replicated by traditional building techniques.
The FL2 features an all-solid timber cutaway dreadnought body with internally carved top and back, finished in natural satin nitrocellulose. The Queensland Maple neck supports a solid Bunya top, while Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides provide rich resonance. Premium appointments include inlaid timber binding, purfling and rosette, Grover machine heads, Graph Tech Tusq nut and saddle, and Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze strings. The guitar comes complete with hard case and includes a pickguard for added protection.
