The Cloudlifter Z brings professional-grade active DI functionality to musicians who demand pristine signal quality and tonal flexibility. This innovative device combines all the clean gain and Vari-Z control technology from the acclaimed Cloudlifter Z into a purpose-built active DI solution designed specifically for bass, guitar, and keyboard players.

At the heart of this unit lies the revolutionary Vari-Z knob, which allows you to shape your tone by adjusting impedance values across an impressive range. When operating in Mic Mode, impedance spans from 150 to 15k Ohms, while DI Mode extends this range approximately 100-fold to roughly 15k-1.5Meg. The continuously variable high-pass filtering operates at -6dB per octave, working alongside the variable impedance control to provide extensive tonal shaping capabilities.

The unit offers three distinct settings that provide up to +25dB of ultra-clean gain for XLR microphones and up to +15dB for 1/4" inputs including bass, guitar and keyboards. Compatibility extends to both 1/4" Hi-Z instrument inputs and XLR Lo-Z microphones through the integrated Neutrik Combo Input Connector. The patented Class A, discrete JFET circuitry works in conjunction with a Hi-Z to Lo-Z premium CineMag instrument transformer to ensure pristine sound quality throughout your signal chain.
