The Intimidator Hybrid 251SR combines three distinct lighting modes into a single moving head, courtesy of Chauvet DJ's 251 W discharge engine. This fixture transitions between tight beam, narrow spot, and broad wash configurations without requiring fixture swaps, making it a logical choice for touring rigs and permanent installations where real estate and power budget matter. The onboard intelligence handles 13 or 19 DMX channels depending on your control depth.
Dual overlapping prisms—a 5-facet round and 6-facet linear design—split and reshape the beam with independent control, whilst dual gobo wheels deliver 9 + open patterns on the first wheel and 17 + open on the second, all continuous-scrolling at variable rates. Motorised zoom operates across all three modes: beam narrows to 1°–3°, spot ranges 12°–23°, and wash spreads 7°–19°. The Osram SIRIUS HRI® 251 W lamp rates 3,000 hours. Pan and tilt span 540° and 270° respectively, with motorised focus and glass optics ensuring crisp projection at varying throw distances. Weighing 16.1 kg, the ¼-turn bracket supports single or dual-clamp mounting, and powerCON® connectors daisy-chain up to three units at 120 V or five at 230 V.
