Since 1979, the BOSS SD-1 Super Overdrive has been the gold standard that countless overdrive pedals aspire to match. Originally developed as an enhanced version of the yellow-box OD-1, this legendary stompbox introduced an innovative asymmetrical clipping circuit that produces an authentically amp-like character unlike anything that came before it.
Professional guitarists continue to favour the SD-1 for its remarkably smooth, natural tube amp growl and exceptional touch-sensitive response. The pedal’s unique circuitry excels at preserving your picking dynamics and your guitar’s inherent tonal qualities, making it equally effective when used with pristine clean amplifiers or already saturated tube rigs.
This compact overdrive pedal features precise tone control for fine-tuning your driven sound, all while maintaining that classic, organic tube saturation. With BOSS’s renowned build quality backed by a five-year warranty, the SD-1 Super Overdrive continues to offer professional-grade performance at an accessible price point.
