The amp debuts BOSS's custom Waza B12W speaker, which marries the coveted tone of 1960s “blue bell” speakers with modern power handling capabilities.

At the heart of the Nextone Special lies an innovative analog power amp design with selectable EL84, EL34, 6V6, and 6L6 class AB circuits. Enhanced reactive drive circuitry refines the crucial power section/speaker interaction, placing exceptional expressive feel directly under your fingers. Onboard voicing controls allow fine-tuning of response to match your playing style, with deeper customisation available through the Nextone Editor software. The variable power control ensures you can always operate in the “sweet spot” across venues of any size.

Two independent, fully featured channels provide unprecedented control over your personal sound. Players can choose between clean and lead voicings, select British or American tone stacks, access multiple onboard effects, and shape the power section with dedicated controls. The clean channel includes an Extra Headroom switch for maximum punch, plus switchable solo levels for both clean and lead sounds.
