Three distinct amp characters—Vintage for classic tube warmth, Flat for smooth clarity, and Modern for extended bass response—each feature a three-way Shape switch for precise tonal sculpting across any musical genre.
The custom-designed speaker system centres around dual 10-inch woofers that provide exceptional fullness and projection, complemented by a tweeter for crisp high-frequency definition that's perfect for slap techniques and contemporary playing styles. BOSS's efficient bi-amp design maintains clear, balanced sound reproduction, while the tweeter can be switched off when a more traditional bass tone is preferred. The comprehensive effects suite includes dedicated compression/limiting and drive sections, plus FX1 and FX2 slots offering access to over 60 BOSS bass effects via the Tone Studio editor—from essential chorus and flanger to creative octave and bass synth sounds.
Live performance capabilities are enhanced through six Tone Setting memories for instant sound recall, plus flexible connectivity options including balanced XLR output with direct/pre/post switching and an additional speaker jack for external cabinet expansion. The studio-quality features include variable Power Control for cranked-amp tone at any volume, headphones/recording output with mic'd cabinet emulation and three Air Feel settings, plus USB connectivity for seamless computer integration.
