The Katana-Air redefines guitar practice with its groundbreaking wireless technology and professional-grade sound engine. This compact amplifier features the same premium tones and effects found in performance-class Katana amplifiers, offering five distinct amp characters from sparkling clean to BOSS’s signature high-gain Brown sound, plus an Acoustic character for acoustic-electric guitars. With over 50 integrated BOSS effects and stereo speaker configuration delivering up to 30 watts of power, this wireless wonder provides rich, dynamic guitar tones for any musical style.
The innovative wireless system operates seamlessly through BOSS’s new low-latency digital technology, ensuring transparent sound without lag or dropouts. Simply plug the custom transmitter into your guitar and enjoy complete freedom of movement around the room. The intelligent standby mode conserves energy when idle and instantly activates when motion is detected, meaning you can leave the transmitter connected and wake the amp just by picking up your instrument. The transmitter provides up to 12 hours of playing time per charge via the convenient docking port.
Enhanced connectivity comes through the dedicated BOSS Tone Studio app for iOS and Android devices, giving you complete wireless control over all amp settings plus exclusive access to additional effects and routing options. The Katana-Air also functions as a full-range music system, streaming audio from your mobile device via Bluetooth so you can jam along with songs, backing tracks, or online lessons. The stereo headphones/recording output with guitar cabinet simulation allows direct recording of professional-quality tones, while the Air Feel control in the app lets you adjust virtual mic positioning for optimal sound capture.
