The BOSS Katana-100 Gen 3 represents the pinnacle of modern guitar amplification, combining the warmth and responsiveness of classic tube circuitry with cutting-edge digital innovation. This third-generation evolution of the acclaimed Katana series delivers 100 watts of Class AB power through a custom 12-inch speaker, offering stage-ready performance in a surprisingly portable 1x12 combo format. The enhanced Tube Logic architecture now includes six distinct amp characters, featuring the newly developed Pushed type that captures the sweet spot of a clean combo driven into harmonic saturation – perfect for players who crave that edge-of-breakup tone.
What sets the Katana-100 Gen 3 apart is its comprehensive effects arsenal and intelligent power management. Five simultaneous effect categories draw from BOSS’s legendary library, whilst the integrated Power Control allows you to achieve cranked-amp inspiration at bedroom-friendly volumes without compromising tone quality. The updated BOSS Tone Studio app provides intuitive remote editing capabilities, and with the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor, you can wirelessly adjust your sound on stage using your smartphone.
Professional connectivity options make this amplifier incredibly versatile for modern musicians. Eight Tone Setting memories store complete amp and effect configurations, whilst rear-panel connections support footswitches, expression pedals, and the comprehensive GA-FC series controllers. The Stereo Expand function enables linking two amps for immersive stereo effects, and multiple output options including USB-C recording, line out, and headphone monitoring ensure seamless integration with any setup – from home practice to professional recording and live performance.
