Boss JB2 Angry Driver Guitar Effect Pedal

Two industry giants have joined forces for the first time in BOSS's four-decade history, creating the JB-2 Angry Driver through an unprecedented collaboration between BOSS and JHS Pedals. This historic partnership celebrates the 40th anniversary of BOSS compact pedals by combining the legendary BD-2 Blues Driver with JHS Pedals' acclaimed Angry Charlie in a single, innovative unit housed within the classic BOSS compact design.

The JB-2 features three dual-concentric knobs offering independent drive, tone, and level control for each overdrive circuit, whilst a six-position mode selector allows you to run each overdrive separately or blend them in series and parallel configurations. This design provides remarkable tonal flexibility, from the Blues Driver's renowned expressive low-to-mid gain character to the Angry Charlie's aggressive rock voicing, all accessible from one pedal.

The collaboration stems from the genuine friendship between BOSS President Yoshi Ikegami and JHS founder Josh Scott, who share a mutual passion for pedal innovation. Scott's journey into pedal design actually began with the Blues Driver itself - he used two Blues Drivers together for years until one broke, and his curiosity about repairing it sparked the creation of JHS Pedals. "I got into pedals because, as a player, I used two Blues Drivers together for years and years," Scott explains, crediting the pedal with launching his career in pedal design.

Both companies express genuine excitement about this milestone collaboration, with Ikegami noting it's a first in BOSS's 40-year compact pedal history, built on "great mutual respect for each other." For Scott, working with BOSS represents the fulfilment of a dream: "BOSS pedals are my favourite pedals.
