The GM-800 guitar synthesiser represents nearly five decades of BOSS and Roland innovation, bringing professional-grade synthesis capabilities directly to your guitar or bass. Built around the powerful ZEN-Core Synthesis System�the same engine found in Roland's flagship JUPITER-X and FANTOM keyboards�this compact unit provides access to over 1200 Tones and 70 Rhythm sounds, plus expandable content through Roland Cloud. The newly developed Serial GK interface ensures exceptional tracking stability and natural playability that surpasses previous guitar synthesis systems.

The GM-800's Scene workflow allows you to combine up to four Tones plus Rhythm, creating rich layered sounds or assigning different instruments to individual strings and fret ranges. You might run bass sounds on your low strings while triggering piano or saxophone on the higher strings, all with the expressive nuances of your natural playing technique. Over 90 effect types are available in each Scene, giving you extensive sound-shaping capabilities from subtle enhancement to dramatic transformation.

Designed for versatility, the GM-800 functions equally well on your desktop or integrated into a pedalboard setup. Four onboard footswitches handle Scene selection and custom assignments, while two external control jacks support additional footswitches or expression pedals. With USB audio/MIDI connectivity, standard MIDI I/O, and Guitar to MIDI functionality, the unit integrates seamlessly with DAWs, external MIDI gear, and can even operate as a standalone synthesiser module for keyboard players.
