BOSS has revolutionised the classic distortion pedal with the DS-1X, combining over three decades of pedal innovation with cutting-edge MDP technology to create something truly extraordinary. This next-generation stomp represents a complete reimagining of what distortion can be, offering guitarists an unparalleled level of tonal sophistication and dynamic response that sets new standards in the industry.
The DS-1X’s advanced MDP technology ensures your distortion maintains perfect clarity and definition across the entire fretboard, even when pushed to maximum gain settings. Low strings remain tight and controlled while high notes sing with rich, fat tones, and chord work retains exceptional note separation that cuts through any mix without becoming muddy or boomy.
What makes this pedal remarkable is its natural, musical presence that eliminates the harshness and nasal overtones commonly associated with high-gain distortion. The moment you engage the DS-1X, you’ll notice how perfectly “dialed in” it sounds straight away, providing that rich, satisfying tone that inspires creativity and makes every playing session both effortless and rewarding.
