After 14 years as a Blackstar Artist, the company has collaborated with him on his second signature model - the JJN 50 & JJN 212 VOC. As Jared’s career has expanded to larger stages worldwide, his amplification needs have grown accordingly, prompting this carefully crafted signature development.

The JJN 50 centres around a pair of EL34 output valves, renowned for their vocal midrange characteristics and quintessential British tone that has powered countless iconic amplifiers. Built upon the foundation of the St. James 50 EL34H platform that Jared has used live alongside his JJN 20, this signature model features enhanced top-end frequencies that allow notes to snap and pop with greater percussive clarity. The addition of a unique BLUES POWER circuit pushes the amp into rich harmonic overdrive territory, perfectly capturing Jared’s signature sound.

During extensive testing at Blackstar’s Northampton headquarters, Jared selected an innovative speaker combination for the accompanying 212 cabinet. The setup pairs a Celestion G12T-75 in the top position with a lightweight Celestion Zephyr speaker below, creating a unique blend that maintains portability while providing the punch and presence required for his powerful blues performances. This road-tested amplifier has been refined through tours across the UK and Europe, ensuring it meets the demanding standards of professional touring musicians.
