Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K Locking EF Model Camera

The Blackmagic PYXIS 6K represents a breakthrough in customisable cinema camera technology, offering filmmakers unprecedented flexibility to build their ideal camera rig. This high-end digital film camera produces precise skin tones and rich organic colours through its full frame 36 x 24mm 6K sensor with wide dynamic range. The built-in optical low pass filter has been specifically designed to perfectly match the sensor, whilst three models are available in EF, PL or L-Mount configurations to suit different lens preferences.

The PYXIS 6K EF model features a 6048 x 4032 full frame HDR sensor with dual native ISO capabilities and dual CFexpress media slots housed within a customisable body. Its fixed locking EF mount ensures compatibility with Canon photo and cine lenses, whilst the precision CNC machined aerospace aluminium construction provides exceptional strength whilst remaining lightweight. This robust build quality makes it suitable for demanding applications including crane work, gimbal operation and drone mounting.

Multiple mounting points and accessory side plates allow extensive customisation options, with numerous 1/4" and 3/8" thread mounts positioned on both the top and bottom of the camera body. The range of available side plates further extends mounting capabilities for accessories such as handles, microphones and SSDs. Additionally, the camera records both 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and compact H.264 proxy files simultaneously, whilst Ethernet connectivity enables seamless media sharing to Blackmagic Cloud for streamlined post-production workflows.
