Born from the quirky spirit of 1978's original touch-sensitive synthesizer, the Behringer WASP DELUXE brings legendary analog synthesis into the modern era with remarkable authenticity and enhanced capabilities. This monophonic powerhouse faithfully recreates the pure analog signal path of its iconic predecessor, featuring authentic VCF and VCA designs that shaped the progressive rock, wave and synth-pop sounds of the late '70s and early '80s. The WASP DELUXE goes beyond mere recreation with dual oscillators offering three variable waveforms each - sawtooth, square wave, and an enhanced mode that adds punch and clarity. Both oscillators span an impressive 5-octave range (32', 16', 8', 4' and 2'), with oscillator 1's wave shape adjustable via the Width knob and oscillator 2 featuring pitch control for creating sweet modulation effects against oscillator 1. The flexible Control Oscillator section houses a 6-shape LFO including sine wave, rising and falling sawtooth, square wave, noise and random waveforms, plus a dedicated noise generator for expanded percussion possibilities.

Sound sculpting reaches new heights with the switchable multi-mode VCF offering Lo, Hi, Band and Notch filter options, complete with Freq and Q controls for precise cutoff and width adjustment. Two analog Envelope Generators handle VCA and VCF modulation duties - the VCA section provides Attack, Decay, Sustain Level/Repeat controls plus a hold switch for infinite sustain, while the Control Envelope features Attack, Decay and Delay/Repeat knobs.
