Born from the legendary Roland TB-303 that accidentally sparked the house music revolution, the TD-3-SR brings authentic analog acid bass synthesis to modern producers at an incredibly accessible price point. This faithful homage captures the essence of the iconic synthesizer that was initially a commercial failure as a bass guitar replacement but became the cornerstone of Electronic Dance Music. The TD-3-SR features genuine analog circuitry with matched transistors, staying true to the original VCO, VCF and VCA designs that made the TB-303 so distinctive.
At the core of the TD-3-SR lies its versatile 24 dB/octave low-pass filter, allowing you to sculpt everything from super-fat bass lines to otherworldly lead tones through precise Cutoff frequency and Resonance adjustments. The built-in 16-step sequencer supports up to 7 tracks and can store 250 patterns across 4 groups, while the onboard arpeggiator adds mesmerising rhythmic possibilities. An all-new Distortion circuit with adjustable Drive control pushes your sounds into aggressive territory when needed.
Despite being monophonic, the TD-3-SR’s 16-note Poly Chain function enables you to link multiple units for up to 16-voice polyphony with enhanced reliability compared to vintage synthesizers. The intuitive layout features 11 controls and 28 switches for real-time parameter access, plus a multi-I/O patchbay for connecting external gear. Ready to use straight out of the box with default signal routing, this synthesizer captures the progressive rock, wave, EDM and synth-pop sounds that defined music history.
