Behringer's SC-RE extends the reach of StageConnect systems beyond standard cable runs, doubling transmission distance from 40 to 80 metres across XLR or DMX infrastructure. Built for touring rigs and permanent installations where conventional range falls short, it maintains full bidirectional audio fidelity whilst coupling control data and 12 VDC remote power through the same cable. Its diminutive footprint–roughly two XLR connectors in size–makes it straightforward to integrate into existing systems without bulk or complexity.
The unit handles 32 channels of audio at 24-bit resolution across 44.1 and 48 kHz sample rates with sub-millisecond latency (0.1 ms) over standard shielded 110 Ω DMX cabling. Power draw sits at just 0.5 W, with 18 W available at the remote end via the SC Host output. A supplied metal bracket secures it into touring cases or permanent rigs, whilst Type-C connectivity supports firmware updates via SimplyPUT management software across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. Dimensions of 78 × 40 × 42 mm and 0.1 kg weight keep installation minimal.
