This compact powerhouse features a 500-watt amplifier designed to bring deep, chest-pounding bass to small and mid-sized venues whilst maintaining Behringer’s commitment to quality construction and sleek design aesthetics.
At the heart of this subwoofer lies advanced Class-D amplification technology that switches circuits on and off thousands of times per second, providing power precisely when needed. This intelligent design means the amplifier operates in either fully on or fully off states, dramatically reducing power losses and heat generation compared to traditional output devices. The result is a lighter construction that eliminates the need for heavy heat sinks, contributing to an impressive power-to-weight ratio.
Professional connectivity options include balanced XLR inputs and outputs, plus balanced XLR Thru jacks for daisy-chaining additional amplifiers in your setup. The B1200D offers precise control over your low-end response with a Boost Frequency knob that allows amplification of any frequency between 45 and 90 hertz, whilst a simple Boost switch adds 10 decibels to your selected frequency. Additional controls include a Level knob for input gain adjustment and a Phase switch that reverses output phase to compensate for frequency cancellation issues with satellite speakers.
