Built around a precision 6 mm electret capsule, the ECM8000-U delivers 24-bit resolution at 48 kHz sample rate, capturing detail across a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency window. Maximum SPL handling reaches 134 dB at 1 kHz with –14 dB gain applied, whilst signal-to-noise performance sits at 65 dB A-weighted. The lightweight 130 g form factor and included clamp bracket allow flexible positioning for measurements in confined spaces or at height; a protective zipper case keeps the capsule safe between sessions. Current draw is minimal at 18 mA, running directly from USB power with a green LED status indicator.
