Behringer CL9 Compressor-Limiter Guitar Effects Pedal

The Compressor/Limiter CL9 turns unruly dynamics into a controlled, professional sound that cuts through any mix. This compact pedal works by evening out your signal — pumping up quieter notes whilst taming the louder ones — resulting in virtually endless sustain and ultra-stable dynamics that give your playing incredible consistency and impact.

Dynamics are crucial for conveying emotion in music, from sweet blues solos to relentless metal riffs, but uncontrolled dynamics can turn your best intentions into mush. The CL9’s compression softens loud sounds and boosts low signal levels that often get lost, creating a much more dense, impactful sound with richness that allows your subtle nuances to shine through like never before.

Guitar and bass players will particularly appreciate how the CL9 addresses the natural volume differences between strings — lighter strings simply don’t put out as much volume as heavier ones due to physics. The pedal makes all strings the same volume, whilst slap-style bass players will love how it evens out thumb slaps, string pulls and muted notes for an extremely percussive effect.

The CL9 features intuitive controls including a Level knob for overall output, Attack adjustment for added front-end definition, and sustain control to dial in your desired effect. Complete with status LED, high-quality bypass switching that maintains incredible signal integrity, and power options via 9V battery or PSU-SB DC power supply (sold separately).
